About Camblesforth Community Primary School
Inclusion Quality Mark - we have achieved level 2 enhancing inclusion
Camblesforth School currently has 108 pupils, from a predominately white British background. We have five classes with between 16 and 27 pupils in each. Many of our class sizes are, therefore, considerably smaller than average.
In addition to our five full-time teachers, we have a number of support staff who provide additional support for both individual and groups of pupils. We also have an active governing body who work closely with the staff to secure the best provision and outcomes for pupils.
The School was built in 1973 and has been regularly updated and modernised. It has 5 internal, well equipped classrooms, a portable classroom, all with interactive whiteboards, a large hall, 2 spacious shared areas, a library, and large outdoor play areas. Our well equipped kitchen serves healthy and nutritious meals.
We have a breakfast club which opens at 8 a.m. each morning and the school offers a range of after school activities throughout the year. We also have close links the Acorns Montessori Nursery, who provide after school care for a number of our pupils.
Camblesforth is a rural village surrounded by farming land. It is well kept, and has an active Parish Council. It has grown in size over the past 20 years, with the hub of the village being on Croft Road where there is a variety of shops. The village also has a post office, located on Brigg Lane, together with the church. A few years ago the council obtained a lottery grant to transform the park into a well equipped play area for the children of the village, which is always highly maintained. The school children use this regularly.
We are very proud of our school hope that you will find the information on this website useful and informative.
